What the owners say:

"We decided to purchase the property as a plot in 2003 while the development was still being built. We were living in the  Downham area of  London/Kent at the time and wanted a quieter life with a safer place for the children to grow up. In viewing various Kent areas we felt that the wonderful views and village life of Wouldham with the great community aspect would be the perfect ideal and it was. The children thrived at the local village school which has since moved due to the building of peters village and become a wonderful academy with the previous building becoming a new school for special needs students. On top of that there are a multitude of secondary academies for both boys girls and mixed students  with many specialising in specific areas  including a number of grammar schools so as our daughters got older schools were never an issue. Being a village and out of the main towns we were still able to get into London or the local towns easily and since moving and the new village being built there are even more facilities around and access even quicker due to the new bridge built between the village and Halling/Snodland. This means we have the best of both worlds if beautiful scenery and walks plus ease of getting to places and the amenities we need. As a home it has been very versatile for our needs both as the children have grown  and when my mother lived with us when she was disabled. The dinning room was then used as a bedroom for her with the garden view and the downstairs wc used for toilet and washing facilities and all rooms had doorways wide enough to take a wheelchair with no adaptions needed. In the smallest room we have over the years fitted bunk beds  then two single beds and now it has a double bed plus furniture so is versatile and also a good size for a third bedroom in comparison to both older and new build homes. The village has two public houses both friendly with great food served that we have often used over the years for Sunday lunch when we have had family visiting and the recreation ground was a daily aspect to my daughters when they were younger. This also now houses a few bits of adult gum equipment and is a wonderful place to meet fellow dog walkers if you have a dog or just sit and relax. We also love the annual fun day that was introduced to the village by the parish council a few years back. One of the best feelings over the many years we haves lived here is the feeling of relaxation as you drive into the village from London or the local towns and see the scenery  or the walks that can be taken along by the river or to bluebell hill and Wouldham common. There is a church yard with historical graves like sir Walter Burke at the church and we often visit the church in open days for cream tea and you can go right up into the steeple to look at the wonderful view. Many people have adapted these town houses over the years to what they want as they are so versatile with so many options. Unfortunately the time has come to move on simply because of my health reasons so a town house is no longer practical for myself and as our daughters are now adults they will soon be no longer to live at home. If we could get our ideal home in the village then this is the place we would choose to live  but unfortunately this is not possible. We have lived here since 2003 and I can honestly say this is the place we have been most relaxed and happy in our home  and known our daughters when growing up were  safe to go and play  both outside or to the local recreation ground  if they were not at one of the many after school sports or activity clubs offered at the school  or taking part in special event activities for special occasions like Halloween or Christmas out on by the parish council or church."
